When Ken and Jan Grosskopf opened their family business in Green Bay, they had a dream. It was to build a business based on a philosophy of creating a positive boarding experience for their client’s pets. With a lot of heart, soul, and work, they realized that dream and more. Ken and Jan acquired Golrusk Pet Care on Memorial Day in 1975 and soon built a state-of-the-art boarding facility and pet care center on the east side of Green Bay. But that wasn’t the end of their fantastic journey. In the years to follow, they would add a dog obedience training program and facility, doggy fun camp and dog day care program, and the innovative fencing dealership called Invisible Fence® Brand Pet Containment. The expansion of the Invisible Fence® Brand business and a growing need in Green Bay for quality pet grooming necessitated the opening of the west side Golrusk Pet Care Center on Babcock Ave in 2001. During this time their family was growing up too. Like every family business the children were involved, helping, playing, and caring for the pets. This gave true meaning to the business tag line, “Pets are Family”. For nearly 45 years the Grosskopf Family and Golrusk Pet Care Center have been an industry leader in pet care for the Green Bay area. The dreams of the next generation began in 2012 when Ken and Jan’s daughter Tera and her family took over the Golrusk Pet Care Center family business.

My dog seemed happy when I picked him up! The staff is friendly and helpful. I like the "all about me "cards with comments about your dog.
I am very satisfied with the care my dog receives.
My son and I boarded our dogs at Golrusk for 10 days while we were on a family trip. We gave them 2 emergency contacts and both our vets info.
When they were picked up they were hacking as soon as they got in the car. Turns out they both had kennel cough.
I'm not mad they got sick, it happens.
However, I am furious that either no one noticed my dog was sick or they knew and didn't notify us.
I spoke to the manager yesterday and he promised he would find out what happened and call me back today. When I hadn't heard from him I called and was told he already left for the day.
I can't say I blame him for avoiding me, there's no good answer. They either knew and didn't bother to contact anyone or they totally neglected our dogs and didn't notice them hacking.
All I want to know is how long my dog was sick and they can't even tell me that.
I would have gladly paid for them to have a vet get the meds he needed so he didn't have to be miserable.
Staff here are awesome - so friendly and helpful and the cut our dog got today was incredible - she was so cute. And she felt better - all her snarls and issues were gone. Can't say enough about how great they are.
I haven't even been here yet but the care I received over the phone was amazing! We're in a "homeless" situation while we close on our house & we couldn't bring our sweet cat with us & they were so understanding and accommodating! Without them idk what we would have done!
Fendi stayed with the Golrusk family for the holiday weekend. It was easy to see she had great care while she was there, that gave me peace of mind and it was so nice to see her still happy. Thank you Golrusk Staff!!!
