Golrusk Pet Care Center training program makes use of ONLY positive reinforcement pet dog training methods. We do NOT employ any type of type of aversive dog training techniques on your dog unless specifically requested by you as well as agreed by us in advance.
Training a puppy can be hard work. To set them up for success, it’s important to focus on socialization and behavior right from the start. That’s why we offer a series of classes that will help your young dog learn all the essentials. Classes are limited to 10 dogs. Two (2) people from the same household may attend class. One (1) Handler on the floor at a time with the pet.
Six Class Sessions: $139
Open to puppies age 8 - 16 weeks old. Enlisting in puppy classes prior to 3 months old can be an outstanding methods of improving training and enhancing the human-animal bond. In our Puppy Socialization curriculum, each class session is a self-contained lesson that builds skills and experiences on a weekly basis. Open to all puppies who completed Puppy Socialization OR are between the ages of 4-6 months. This is a six-week Open Enrollment Class. Each self-contained class will teach you and your pet how to work together as a team. Skills that will be taught are walking on leash, coming when called, responding to their name, and commands such as “Sit”, “Down”, “Stand”, “Relax”, and “Go to place”.
Golrusk dog training classes meet in Green Bay once a week for six weeks with a limited capacity of dogs. All equipment may be purchased and properly fitted at the training center. Class sizes are of limited capacity to guarantee that you and your dog will receive plenty of personal attention from our trainers.
Basic Obedience 1: This dog training class is for all pups over six months of age. Trainers will be teaching owners and dogs to work together. We will be introducing lots of exercises to include: walking on a leash, coming when called, greeting people, as well as commands like, “Sit”, “Down”, “Stand”, “Go to Place”, “Steady”, and “No jumping” to ensure great canine behavior at home.
Basic Obedience 2: This dog training class is for pets over 6 months of age that have successfully completed Basic Obedience 1 before entering this class. This class will focus on refining what you and your dog have already learned (and also include some other fun stuff). Classes are limited to 10 dogs. Two (2) people from the same household may attend class. One (1) Handler on the floor at a time with the pet.

Sometimes a dog simply needs a little one-on-one attention, and sometimes an owner needs that too. Golrusk offers private dog training sessions with our professional trainers at Golrusk Pet Care Center in Green Bay. Our philosophy is to provide you with positive reinforcement tools to help communicate and build trust between you and your pet. All one-on-one private trainings begin with a consultation to determine the best possible way to achieve the desired outcome of your dog’s training.
