Fresh Air Exchange and Comfort System With In-Duct UV Light Disinfection Protection

Animal care and comfort are paramount to Golrusk, and because of this we have upgraded our heating and cooling system. Our new system continuously ventilates the building all day every day. The air in the kennel is replaced six times every hour. Our HVAC is equipped with an In-Duct UV Light to disinfect the air passing through. Our green ventilation system uses warm indoor air to heat the outdoor air coming in so not only are we providing a great environment for our animals, we are conserving energy as well. This new system also controls the humidity to ensure that the kennel remains comfortable through all of the varieties of Wisconsin weather. We love animals so when they are comfortable and happy, so are we!

Standard Boarding Amenities

  • Individual units for each pet which are cleaned and disinfected daily.
  • Kuranda Bed or Blanket are provided.
  • Secured individual outdoor exercise in a sheltered area.
  • Food and water bowls are supplied with Fromms Gold.  If you would like to bring food from home to keep to a consistent diet, please bring the appropriate amount for feeding during your pet’s visit. Kindly refrain from bringing large bags of food or oversized food bins.
  • Outdoor exercise is provide every 3-4 hours for bathroom breaks between 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM.
  • Free of charge medication disbursement.
  • A complimentary “Cuddle Me Bath” when your dog boards five nights or more (Subject to condition of pet’s coat. Pick-up on day of departure must be after 8:00 AM).
  • No hassle Check-In & Check-Out.  We make it easy for you! You are charged for the day you bring your pet in.

Requirements & Policies

  • Vaccination Requirements: All our canine boarding guests must be up to date on DHLPP-Distemper Parvo Series, Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations for the protection of your own pet’s health and the health of other boarding pets. If your pet’s vaccinations are not current, arrangements can be made to have these vaccinations administered and you will be responsible for any charges incurred, plus a service charge for transportation to the veterinarian. Bring your receipt or the vaccination record that is provided by your veterinarian. When you have your pet’s vaccinations updated, be sure to bring the new record with you next time you board with us. If you have any questions about attaining vaccination records, just call your veterinarian or Golrusk staff will be happy to help you.

  • If they would like to participate in group play, they must also be spayed or neutered if they are over 6 months old. All dogs must complete a First Day Daycare evaluation before they can participate in group play during boarding or daycare.
 
  • Check In & Check Out Policies: You are charged for the day your pet arrives. If you pick up before 2:00 pm or have your pet professionally groomed on his/her last day there is no charge for boarding on the last day.  Golrusk does not groom on Sundays.

Buddy Playtime

per dog per half hour

  • For those dogs who may not do as well in large groups due to lower energy, possibly senior, too much energy for a large pack or would LOVE a little more one on one time with their pack leader. All dogs in Buddy playtime will go through an assessment so their pack leader can find the perfect buddy for them to play with.

  • Buddy Playtime group size ranges from 2-6 dogs at a time.

All-About-Me Time

$7 .00

per session

  • All-About-Me Time provides a chance for your pet to enjoy individualized attention with our staff. Your pet will participate in a variety of energizing activities.

  • All-About-Me Time includes:

  • Pet Walking (or running)

  • Play Ball – A simple game of fetch – or keep away

  • Pet-A-Pet – Special loving attention for your pet

  • Cards with pics

Pet Treats

  • Yappy Hour: $3 per serving

  • Busy Bone: $3.50 per day

  • Yappy Hour is a special cookie from Two Paws Up Bakery delivered to their room.

  • Busy Bones is a Kong Toy filled with our scrumptious, secret recipe that poses a suitable challenge to every pet. Each time the Busy Bone drops – it’s a new game that no pet can resist! It’s both a treat and a toy!

Snippet Training

$10 .00

per command

  • 10-minute Session: $10 per command

  • Does your dog just need to learn a command or two? Or maybe just a refresher course? Snippet Training is for you.

  • In just a snippet of time your dog can learn commands like Come, Leave It, Wait and Go to Mat. While your dog is here for our Daycare or Boarding Mon – Fri, we will introduce your dog to one or more of the commands.

  • We will provide you with feedback on how your dog did, and give you the tools so you can continue training at home.
